What's the Deal with BPZ?  I did plenty of research and checked financials and other analyst ratings. Everything I saw said buy. Does anybody with knowledge of this company know why the stock has been plummeting recently? I feel they are something I should hold onto unless there's something I don't know about. Analyst ratings of BPZ as of late january  If all those analysts are extremely bullish, then this stock is perhaps a good short candidate. Contrarianism is where the money is in this market. Oversold  This company is sitting on a world class field. If oil is back up to $90/bbl in a year or so, BPZ's standardized measure could easily eclipse $10 billion (or over $120/share).
