Bought some calls earlier after what I saw as an unwarranted drop in
price. But the stock has gone down and down. At this point I am down
50%. It isnt a ton of money but its a fair portion of my portfolio.
My calls are long dont expire until January so I feel like I having
nothing keeping me from holding them for a recovery. But just posting

Just bought some HNP recently as it is quite undervalued. I have to
say, most of the people here do not understand China, so does HNP. If

Probably that the Chinese government suggested a cap on electrical
rates that HNP can charge, but coal prices have moved up due to
shortages, therefore a margin squeeze for HNP.

Guess we'll see how it all plays out...not exactly the most
predictable situation.

Forward growth estimates for next year might give better buying
opportunities summer/fall of this year. A few things I like about
this company is their price to book is much lower than industry
average, and ROE is strong. From a pure value perspective at $28
about 75% of their book value is accounted for in the market cap

Ok. I'm in at 29.75.

I consider this a long term buy, which will suffer large intermediate-
term price swings.
HNP is now about 5% of my portfolio value.

If HNP drops to the low 20's on no bad news, I will consider buying
more shares.

I think hnp should be out off slump very soon. it has been said that
the production has resumed back to norm after the winter storm in
china. also, couple of ACH's factories have resumed to normal
production after electric shortage. I personally own HNP. also,

A good point, it is absolutely ridiculous for the government to tell a
private company what it can charge for something, while simultaneously
making moves (i.e., closing, all be them unsafe, coal mines) that jack

hey,dude, how will hnp go up, if the chinese government freezes

what is going on with HNP? all other chinese power companies are
rising even after Chinese government decided to freeze electricity
price? It's obviously that rising in coal price will hurt HNP,, but
unlike other power companies , HNP has acquired several coal mining
companies to cut its production cost. I expect HNP to be traded at
