Novartis AG (ADR) |
Man, I never thought I'd say this. I love Novartis and have held it
for almost a year and believe that it is a very well run company. Also
a great way to hold a solid international stock. It has the great
Sandoz generics and a good long term pipeline. However, it has had a
combination of unfortunate events that even in this industry was
highly unlikely. The market is doing very well right now with lots of
opportunities for growth... while I have no doubt that Novartis will
recover from this and become a thriving company once again I do not
see the stock doing much of anything in the next 6-12 months. I
weathered the Zelnorm situation, Lamisil patent expiration and loss to
Teva for generic replacement, but now long-term Galvus delays also?
Even a few weeks ago I wasn't even considering selling. But I have to
admit that perhaps the capital is better spent elsewhere right now...
I was wondering what others think also?
