Subject: Investor relations
I sent them an e-mail of encouragement and mentioned that on this
forum, many people have concerns about a run on the bank -- and that
they may want to do something to address that long BEFORE that's an
issue by having a special promotion for people to invest in NCC stock
along with depositing funds into a checking/savings account.  E-trade
mentions opening 100+ new accounts a day.  I'd like to NCC do
something similar and make an emphatic statement that they won't
succumb to the pitfalls of the other financial institutions that went
under.

Sometimes e-mails aren't read or received by the right people, so I
made a follow up phone call as well.  When I called, the
representative actually identified me by first and last name --
without mention of either by myself.

I encourage everyone to call and/or send them an e-mail.  Maybe they
will implement some of the suggestions they receive.  At the very
least, you know your words won't fall on deaf ears.  Together, you
know we *can* make a difference...

Hey silver thank for the effort in keeping my lottery ticket alive!  I
am one for two in playing bank stocks that are hanging on by a thread
(scored big on WM and got nailed on WB).  So lets make it 2 out of 3.

Silver, people may dismiss your comment but having been on the other
side i know this kind of stuff actually does work.  Do you have and
can you post contact info?

It really only takes a few phone calls to the right person to force
the issue. That said, the strongest statement they could have made
would have been a stock repurchase, some insider trading purchases or
a statement just like you've suggested.  Short of total real time
transparency we are just going to have to keep on risking everything
on the words of a "spokesperson" while we wait for earnings calls to
reveal what we hope is the truth...

reman-
In no way was I dismissing silver's post.  I was dead serious in my
comment and appreciation for his effort.  I have REAL money invested
here and I agree that the best thing NCC could do right now is affirm
their deposits are solid.

Tradeking posts a list of most active trades by their members.  For
the last 5 days, NCC is the 7th most active with 73% being buy orders.

Agreed that they need to shift the positive PR machine into
overdrive.  The board members/directors/etc should ALL purchase at
least 1,000 shares.  If they believe in the future, then it's a great
opportunity/investment.  If they don't buy, then they should be sent
packing and get some OTHER people in there who actually give a care.
Wouldn't it be great to see such a show of faith & buying activity
announced mid-day on CNBC?!?  You know the reaction would be
favorable.

Interestingly, Bank of America is listed as the 3rd largest inst.
holder of NCC (source: yahoo finance).  Wow, now I see a report NCC is
in talks to sell itself.  The best chance for BAC to recover their
losses would be to buy NCC at a bargain basement price.

If you look at the trading activity for NCC board, you will see that
they all, more or less, already are large shareholders in NCC.
Another 1,000 shares of NCC would be an insignificant addition to
their portfolios.
