Subject: Take a Guess
How much would NCC get /share if there was a deal with either of the
banks.

My guess is between 4 and 5.

Reason: See the price of NCC as of sep 26th. It was above 5$ and there
was no reason for it to fall below 5$. It has enough capital to cover
its sub prime losses.

Sravan

It fell for a reason, clearly, it depends on how you interpret that
'reason' though.   You can't say "there was no reason for it to fall
below $5."  You can say that there was no substantial reason, that it
was all superficial emotion, but still, look at how well the stock has
been kept below $5 by a nonreason...

The bank has a major presences in Ohio, Michigan and Florida, areas
that have been devastated by the housing crisis. Those loans are still
going to slide.

Reason.  Pelosi.  Paulson.  Frank.
How many more reasons do you need?

Let's not forget Dodd and Obama, although the latter has only been
getting greased for the past 3 years.  Nat City also has presence in
Illinois where the civic (un)organizer kept ACORN enriched with funds
because they were able to turn out massive quantities of mortages.
