For those interested in this company beyond just a small, volatile
stock to make a quick buck - I'm putting my money where my mouth is
and bought several hundred shares at $8

I'm still not happy Echelon's isn't making a profit but I think the
company is positioned so well, they can't possibly screw things up any
worse short of appointing Paris Hilton as CEO. In the short term, all
this push towards a "smart grid" and energy metering will help. In the
long term, I still have high hopes for their LonTalk protocol being
adapted as the HVAC control standard. We'll see!
