Subject: Dump, Hold or Load up?
Any 1 have any thoughts on this recent drop in price of this
company????
I bought some shares @ $13.15, thinking that it would fluctuate a buck
or 2 & steadily move on upwards as the summer went on...
now it is @ its 52wk low & im kinda in panic mode. I've read some of
the older discussions & people have made some very insightful points
about this company & its products. However, with the recent
announcements of "the lease agreement error" (along with the whole Q2
report)  & the passing of their COO. I am face with the question;
Dump, Hold or Load  up?
any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

That makes two of us wishing to know and, likewise, I'd appreciate any
suggestions.  I've always read and heard when accounting
irregularities occur or there's a change in upper management, it's
time to sell.  Does the following from Forbes A/P qualify as a caveat
emptor?

"SAN JOSE, Calif. - Echelon Corp., which makes industrial control
systems and software, said Wednesday it found additional accounting
errors related to leases for its corporate headquarters and will have
to restate finances as a result.

The company had already said earlier this month it will restate its
financial reports for 2006 and 2007 because it mistakenly understated
equity compensation expenses for those years.

Echelon said the latest restatements will affect finances between 2003
and 2007. The company said it inappropriately accounted for the leases
for its corporate headquarters entered into in 1999 and 2001.

The company added it may not be able to complete the required
revisions by May 12, the due date of its 10-Q quarterly report."

I've decided not to buy any until 1) They start making some profits
and 2) Their LON protocol looks like the winner over BACnet.

1 is easy to find out - just look at their income statements. 2 is a
little more tricky unless you're like me and work with HVAC
controllers every day :-)

If you'd be so kind, please keep us informed regarding, "2".  Thanks,
