Should we buy into bad news?  I think so, but I'm waiting to see where
the markets go today.  The stocker gives a great pitch as to why we
should buy eBay on bad news.  Check it out:

What do you all think?

That's all eBay can be is bad news with the Hoe driving the ship. Net
earnings DOWN 29% in the Q3 from last year. And sellers thought last
Christmas sales were non-existent?!?! Their revenue was up for one
reason only--Prey Pal. The core business of eBay which is listings is
dying a quick death. If it wasn't for their other money sources it's
possible it would be gone or at least up for sale.

After nearly four years of selling I cut way back in June of 08 and
then quit for good in December. Only one reason--DONOHOE and the havoc
and damage he's done to eBay. IMO this stock is at it's top around
25.00-27.00 bucks. That might change if they would shiiit can Donohoe
and reverse his policy's aimed squarely at getting rid of small to
medium sellers but that doesn't look like it will happen.

How bad is Maricopa?  Maricopa is badder than Michael Jackson, badder
than Leroy Brown, badder than Teddy Ruxpin.  Maricopa
sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Although Province is a nice community, I
wouldn't retire there unless I was in the FBI witness program.  Which
I could be if I continue blogging.  However, Maricopa is a C
submarket, one of the worst in the nation.  Google Earth it

Yet Meritage is buying finished lots there?  I want you to think about
this real hard...

My friends A and B finished lots have doubled in price.  The fact that
these lots in Maricopa were bought up shows the desperation by
builders in trying to secure finished lots.

Wait to buy into eBay.

If eBay thought the 3rd quarter was disappointing, wait until they see
what the 4th quarter results turn out to be.

Once upon a time, when sellers were unhappy with eBay, they would
stage a boycott, making sure not to place listings for 30 days to let
eBay hear their message loud and clear.

eBay sellers no longer care enough to stage boycotts, as they have
largely given up any hope that eBay management will hear them or
listen to them.

Now instead of boycotts, sellers are just leaving eBay entirely, and
desirable listings to attract buyers are disappearing with them.

With a plethora of alternative sites to list and sell on, sellers no
longer need eBay as they are unable to generate any buzz or sales.
Many buyers have simply taken the massive amount of revenue they used
to take from them and invested it in creating their own websites from
which to sell on.

eBay management is in bunker mode. They continue to alienate buyers
and sellers alike as evidenced by the declining sales reported over
the past year. They continue to ignore the fact that the changes they
implement are unpopular with buyers and sellers.

eBay is looking for answers and they are right in front of their
faces. I guess when you are making $22 million a year as CEO it makes
sense to ignore what buyers and sellers are telling you and to instead
continue to drag the entire marketplace down in the process.

When Q4 numbers are reported, they are going to once again fall below
estimates. There is no longer a trickle of buyers and sellers
abandoning eBay, it is now more like a stampede.

After Q4 is reported, eBay will once again be trading closer to its 52
week low, buying into eBay at current prices is something one should
do if they are in need of a write off.

Amazon is going to continue to grow beyond expectations while eating
eBay's lunch. The smaller marketplaces such as Craigslist, Bonanzle,
ECRATER, blujay, etsy etc...will continue to see significant growth as
eBay sellers look for marketplaces where they can list their items for
less or in some cases completely free of charge.

The buyer and seller alienation will continue, and recovery will be
next to impossible until there is a total cubicle cleaning in San
Jose.

Now the Hoe is considering making Prey Pay completely spun off from
Ebay?? Meaning PP will go public with it's own stock? Gawd....I
wouldn't want to be anywhere near this stock if that happens--it will
easily lose 5.00-10.00 in just a day or two.

Hell,PP is the glue holding eBay itself together. This will be fun to
watch.

When will the board of directors wake up and send John Donahoe
packing ?  This guy is the biggest flake ever and has ruined a once-
great company.
