Leerink Swann downgraded the stock from a outperform to
marketperform.  The price target is 10 and thats where resistance is.
If they beat earning estimate and with Obama inaguration coming up
this stock should go alot higher.

I said this before, but I believe this stock is going to outperform
though I don't think it will matter.  We have jobless claims and
retail numbers coming out for December tomorrow and Friday which is
not going to be pretty for the markets.  Even if the Quarterly's for
All scripts are nice, I doubt we will see an immediate price jump.

With that being said, I am a Share holder for the long run.  Depending
on how low the price of this stock goes, I may be tempted to pick up
some more.  By the end of this month, this stock is going to be in the
13-17 range(in my guess). The reasons are after the initial sell off
of the jobless and retail numbers, prices will go back, quarterly
should be nice, and Obama should create some hype about modernizing
healthcare.

Lastly, I really want to see the wording in the legislation that is
going to modernize health care.

Every time MDRX releases two or more press releases on the day
earnings are released, historically they didn't make their numbers.

I hope I'm wrong this time, but two press releases have been released
today within the last two hours, and earnings are due after the bell.

Maybe they'll make their numbers (only Allscripts management knows, of
course) but if they do then there will be something that will cause
this stock to tank (lower guidance, merger "synergy" not going as well
as planned, etc.).

I'm nervous now. I hate it when Allscripts stacks PR's just before
earnings.

That must be a strategy to divert the negative attention.

I'm not all that worried about these earnings.  If they do great, they
are only going to go up when Obama starts talking about modernizing
health care.  If they do poorly, after the inital drop in price, I
believe they will go back up shortly because of Obama's agenda.

Allscripts is a great company in my mind, why else would I invest?
Nevertheless, this should be interesting to see how they did!

Q2 earning of $0.14 they beat analyst estimates by $.01 and the stock
price goes down.  What will it take to get this stock to go above
$10.00?

I'm relatively pleased with the Q2 considering they had to work with
the merger.  As far as price of the stock going up, I have a feeling
that Health Care organizations are going to wait and see what the
government is going to offer them in terms of incentives, then they
are going to start to go electronic(though certainly not all all will
wait this time).  This will boost sales.  As far as going over 10, I
think it will be boosted after inauguration though I'm not sure by how
much.  Thats my 2 cents

Not a very statistically valid analysis, besides, nobody is getting
this market right by looking at the past.  Does this company have any
competition?  What are they doing, productwise, numberwise?
