Short sellers are not the only reason this stock is declining.

UMC just reported their unaudited earnings for 2008...they were
horrible. Declines of 40%.

Looks like the shorters were right to short...

keep away all stocks in the worlds, it is a big bear market. It will
take a couple year to recovery. Even Buffet recommends several value
stocks which are dirty cheap but owns lots of stocks for his
portfolio, you never get a good return if you run out cashs
