Subject: Why aren't GS or JPM buying out CIT?
When CIT market cap is almost below $350M how come big names like GS
or JPM or BAC just come out and say thei are buying CIT for .50 or .60
a share and end it here? After all consolidation helps right?

CIT announces a contingency plan. As soon as the courts approve CIT's
Bankrupty plan the federal government will give a 2nd bailout. This is
what happened to General Motors. Ticker GM now MTLQQ. This is great
news for the entire economy.
