I have majority of my 401k in cvx but i have shorted it today..

the rise in the price didnt justify for antyhing..

crude is down, and their profit is also down for this qtr

this will be back to 75-76 level

The early June to early July correction saw the S&P correct less than
10 percent, but many individual names retraced by 20, 30, even 50%.

Oil ins't that high and it doesn't stop the average american from
doing anything. If you stopped average joe and asked about oil today
they might tell you that they don't even know what the price of oil is
and that they may have noticed gas going up but it's still plenty
cheap and they don't think it will go anywhere near where it was
