Let all of us with ABX Sept. US$35 calls make our money this week and
you can all take your profits next week. It was a steal @ $1.00 and
should hit the $3.00 range today. I'm happy to play it up and down (as
$35 seems to be a support), but does anyone see a gold breakout from
here, and why?

I think everyone should own some physical gold. Stocks are also
desirable because of their liquidity, and the miners are a leveraged
bet on gold. There is always the risk a decoupling of gold price and
miners, but if you believe in the management, then you believe that
the stock price will rise as the price increases in gold makes them

I agree that gold demand is going to go up, especially once the
Chinese realize that the US has become a black hole for their
investment capital. I think in the near future when the Chinese
figure this out they will likely buy gold as they see how risky it is
to hold a currency so closely tied to the dollar. The Chinese central

This is not 1980 anymore. In the future gold won't be just hedge
against inflation or investment in economic downturns and times of
fear and panic. 70% of gold is used to make jewelry and India and
China are huge markets for that and they are getting bigger and
bigger. So from now on in the long run even if the dollar gets

Your logic is fundamentally flawed. Gold isn't an investment, it's a
safe haven. Every commodity cycle reaches the point where anything
tangible is readily accepted in exchange of the worthless government-
backed paper as quickly as people earn it. We are not even close to
that point yet. Historically speaking, that peak is reached when an

I agree with you kylek... long term gold up. Also oil and other
commodities. However, I think u may want to wait till after the
election. Current party needs lower gas prices. As you have seen
recenty gas prices have been going down. Atlanta market... gas $4.30
in July. Currently $3.65.

A V-bottom is forming in the precious metals market. These are going
to be pushing new highs over the next few months. I'm pretty much all
in right now on ABX, GG, SLW, and AEM. These are the best stocks to
be in for this run IMO. Good luck.

Hell yeah! Gold is back. All you people selling gold and moving over
to financials, you are going to get killed! Mark my words. The job
losses, rising inflation, and collapse of the financial sector are
going to send gold to new highs.

I think something very bad is about to happen to some major banks.
The gold market right now reeks of manipulation. Dealers have
literally run out of inventory for much of their coins. This market
is out of whack with supply and demand, as well as inflation risks.

Why would they want to manipulate gold downwards? Some have
