Subject: Earnings?
JetBlue Airlines has been on my radar for the better part six months,
and I was really looking forward to pulling the trigger on today's
earnings. I'm not necessarily worried by today's selloff, but I am
confused as to why it is occurring...? Airlines posting a profit
should have been very bullish I presumed. Is this just a good time to
load up on this growing company? Any opinions welcomed, thanks in
advance.

i bought in before the news was released, but i think the reason we're
seeing a bearish trend is because the EPS didn't meet quarterly
expecations (fell 1 cent short).

Yeah, all the airlines are getting assaulted in the past 10 days, and
I don't see that stopping with US's withdraw bid of Delta. It was also
featured on Fast Money as a don't buy, so expect a further slide.
Sooner or later, everyone's favorite airline will rebound and the
company's economics will catch up with investors. I think I hope it
bottoms to maybe 12.50 and then I'm pulling the trigger.

I look at the big picture (my version of it anyways) and see most the
airlines turned a corner.  JBLU is part of this group and has top
management and back in the day, very strong margins.  Obviously the
airlines will raise prices (like most have done all year) to keep up
with oil prices.  I have the idea JBLU could go lower yet this year
but I also believe as time goes on this stock is moving higher.  The
earnings as the year moves on are only growing.  $17.08 will be tested
yet this year.

These opinions are worth the exact amount paid.
