Subject: Rim Is Overvalued
Now trading at a PE of over 80 in a sector where the competition will
be immense going forward. This stock could easily fall to half its
present value.

How did you get a p/e of 80?  Their recent results were for the latest
qtr.  Depending on which q's you use for their p/e, they are actually
at the 18-22 range -- not even close to 80.

PE currently at 15 after Friday's downturn.  Do not sell this stock,
it will recover in the next 2-3 weeks.  Their guidance was ultra
conservative.  I think they are setting themselves up for a big 'beat'
of estimates this quarter.  I'm in the business and we cannot keep up
to the demand for these puppies.  In fact the Tour was recently back
ordered because of huge demand.  The 'Yanks' are clearly anti-
Blackberry and seem to endorse Iphone and Pre.  Apple always under
estimates on their guidance and the analysts accept it.  Rim's
guidance is always beefed up by the analysts which forces RIM to
always have unrealistic street whisper numbers.  I think RIM has
missed estimates the last 5 quarters.  RIM clearly a buy at these
levels, only problem is that most of the buying will come from
Canadian fund managers and not US.

I'm not invested in this stock at all but this dip definitely
surprised me.  I'm in the industry and I have a hard time getting
stock and keeping my BlackBerry stock on the shelves.  The new 8520
Curve in my opinion is going to be a huge hit with enterprise users
and people that want BlackBerrys for cheap.

A LOT of people are extremely loyal to BlackBerrys because of their
services (ie. PIN to PIN, BlackBerry Messenger).

BlackBerry messenger (BBM) is one of the greatest mobile communication
interfaces to date.  Out of my group of friends I currently have ONE
person that I talk to via SMS who uses an iPhone, and my BBM contact
list count is currently at 58.

Maybe us Canadians are more fond of the BlackBerry, but in general I
see way more BlackBerrys around here in Vancouver, BC than I do
iPhones.  (Sales wise too.)

I took a bath at the $90 level, jumped out when it was in freefall at
$77 and bought back in at $75.  Course I could have waited until today
it looks like.  We know it will rebound, but the point is when.
Tomorrow?  Will it drop to $60 first, and then recover?  I am going to
overnight tonight, I think that the $75 level should be safe.. betting
on recovery to $80 levels sometime by December.. but do we think it
will dip much longer?

I bought in at $77, considered buying in at $72 but didn't just
because of transaction costs. I think it'll get back into 80s
territory soon enough, if it goes near $70 I will buy again.

My predictions are it will drop further into the high 60's then dip
back to around 75$ within 2-3 weeks.

Oops, I meant RIM (TSX) not RIMM. I personally think RIMM will drop
further to the mid-50's...

Hmm, I'm not so sure about it dropping that far..

It is a solid company, and it willbe worth $100+/sh within a year..
possibly sooner, really depends on a number of things.  I don't think
it's overvalued. I bought in at 90 expecting to see it climb to 100,
and was going to jump.. then got caught.. I simply doubled up at these
lows of 77, 75, and 72, so I'm carrying a lot or RIM now, but I have a
few months before I need that cash. My quick cash will come from AIG
and F that I just picked up again today at a deal, and will sell yet
again at a good profit a week later..  F is a bit overvalued, but it
seems to keep going back up into the 7.40's

With the big drop it's taken, I don't know if it will drop much
further when there comes a market correction...I don't think today is
it, we need more.
