Microsoft had their chance when RIM was trading at $50 earlier this
year.  Not enough cash to pull it off now.

I assume that's an attempt to push up the stock price (RIM)...RIM
isn't short on cash either, and isn't interested in being acquired..

Need 50 billion to take Rim out, I believe Microsoft only has half
that amount...so I guess it would have to be half cash + half stock
deal.

Someone on TV might have said it once but it's not going to happen.
Jimmy B would never give up his baby, the Canadian Gov would be in a
stink about the biggest Tech company going to the States and Microsoft
should really be sticking to software.

Same rumour over a year ago when the market crashed... MSFT has
partnered with Motorola and HTC I doubt they will want to aquire RIM.
Canning BES would not make sense and having BES and Exchange doesn't
make sense...
