I'm under the consciouness decision that its time to sell away Gold.
I'm selling away my 15 ounces in this week.
There may be a drop in Gold up till 700 in the next coming months.

What are your thoughts?

And What Makes You Think So?  I can already sense panic in the market,
when there is panic, there is gold.

What if gold became the currency for the US... or anywhere else for
that matter?

Check out Saville's article on gold, inflation, and monetary policy on
greenfaucet- called "returning gold to money". This guy discusses how
to get gold from where it is now to a form of money and whether or not
gold will become the unit of exchange in the near future.

I can't see it happening anytime soon-- It would take a complete
overhaul not only of the government and the Fed (which would be gone)
but also of culture, lifestyle, etc.

I think the general public would be far too uncomfortable with gold as
the unit of exchange. A more likely future? A new currency.

No, it's more likely that oil will be the currency of the future. In
reality, it's much more valuble than a shiny piece of metal.

3 Raghu...
If I were you I wouldn't sell your gold now.
gold is expected to rise because of how low dow jones and the dollar
are, and there is no good news.

by the end of this year gold may be around 1200 USD/ounce.
