I am new to this stock and I have a question about its price movement.
It's a gold stock, so I thought the stock price should move up or down
depends on gold spot price on that trading day. However, I normally
found out that this stock didn't move in the same direction most of

it looks like the US dollar is well bid. Maybe strengthening over
current weeks or months due to the collapse of central and eastern
european currencies. Yea the dollar will continue to strengthen or go
sideways while the price of gold continues to rise. Yea the gold bug

Thanks for the link. I was reading an interesting article on
SeekingAlpha.com the U.S. dollar and gold have long had an inverse
relationship; as the former sinks, the latter rises and vice versa.
What, then, are we to make of recent events, with the dollar going
from strength to strength and the price of gold rising even faster?

This is a good company but it is overvalued right now.Too expensive.
Its price to sales is almost 900% and its price to book is almost
600% .A good but overvalued company. Too risky to buy at these levels.

Did you know that on Oct 8 CITI upgraded this stock to buy and close
strongly around $42, only to drop right after that??? It seems like
you have to do the opposite of this crooked analys said. When the say
buy and it's gone up that means it's time to sell and short it. When
they say sell and reduced the target price than it's time to buy it.

Wrong... this pattern is not the same nor are the circumstances
outlining the "current levels". In nominal dollars - were are at 1974
levels.

Notice no one has been inconvenienced with gas shortages yet
production levels have peaked in oil. This means we have yet to see a
frenzy but the beginnings of a US currency crisis only 50% through.

If the Treasury prints up billions of dollars for "direct equity
injections" then in the long run it has to result in inflation or
maybe even hyperinflation. Gold should prove to be a good investment
over the long run if you think the government is going to just pour

AITP (American Italian Pasta Co.) is a safe hedge. I see this stock
reaching $30 per share in the next year (Its at 17 now) People
generally stock up on cheaper foods like pasta during a recession. CPB
(Cambells Soup) is also doing rather well. Gold is ok, but you can't
just let your money sit on it. The price of Gold fluctuates too much.

I've been watching Gold and its been pretty stable compared to the
entire market. For some reason this stock was rated as high rish but
its actually has been doing pretty well.

I don't see gold in general as a very good way to hedge against
inflation right now, as it has been subject to a lot of speculation
(not to mention a ton of marketing) in the last 6-8 years.
Historically, run-ups in gold like the one over that period of time
have been followed by very quick collapses back to the long-term
