I am confident this is one of those long term plays that you let sit
in your portfolio and don't look at it for a year. When you come back
in a year, this stock will be a pleasant surprise.

Bottom line is: At $4.09 per share, this stock is tremendously
undervalued and oversold, not to mention solid financials to back it
up. As Motley Fool.com says: this stock is "poised to pop"!

Good luck Steve!

Zak

It has been rumored that AOB is scheduled to report its 3Q 2009
financial results today, Monday, Nov. 9, but I have not seen any press
releases or announcements on the company's website, on the public
relations newswires, or in the other typical places you might expect,
such as Yahoo! Finance, Google Finance, etc. Is this happening today
or not? Before market open? After close? American Oriental
Bioengineering creates a lot of value for its shareholders, but I
think that the company would greatly benefit by communicating more
frequently with its American investors (such as myself), including
updating the website in a timely manner.

There is really no good reason for this stock to be so oversold. I
think this is a rare opportunity to buy a company with these
fundamentals at as low as $4.20 per share. The fundamentals are
strong. They remain strong. What instigated this downturn since
September has been the publication of a research report by infamous
short-seller Manual Asensio, trying to raise questions about CEO Tony
Liu's undisclosed ties to other foreign companies. AOB has addressed
this issue on their website http://www.bioaobo.com and sought a cease
and desist order against Asensio. Asensio is not exactly an upstanding
character. Look him up. So I think the growth prospects for this
budding Chinese pharmaceutical/nutriceutical remain very strong, and I
think this is the last downturn we're going to see as the result of
reports issued by Asensio. This chart is extremely oversold by any
reasonable medium-to-long term measure, and you should buy before you
miss the bottom.

AOB is going to be just fine.  It will be trading above $5.00 probably
as soon as next week.  Better get in while you still can.  I have been
watching the stock for a year now.  Its ridiculous with the market
upswing, proven earnings ability, and its growth potential, that it's
at this price...ridiculous.  Trust me.

I did a search on that. One site that comes up is http://www.shortsqueeze.com,
which provides the info below. Nasdaq's page also has a search for
short interest http://www.nasdaq.com/aspxcontent/shortinterests.aspx?symbol=AOB&sele...
AOL Finance reports short interest as well. It is extremely
frustrating.

How would I find out how much of AOB is shorted right now and how many
failure to deliver shorts are outstanding. This continued downward
pressure seems unlikely outside of naked shorting.

While the recent downtrend and some very bearish media over the recent
past haven't made AOB look strong, their earnings growth over the past
2 quarters has been sound, and their projected earnings heading into
the 2010 fiscal year look to continue on that path. And now in the
most recent news, the acquisition of 37% of China Aoxing Pharma
Company should add to more security.

I'm just starting out in trading, but I couldn't avoid this buy.
Holding it for a while!
