Well it looks like you were expecting todays news! 0.03 was really a
bargain. As soon as Lyrtech doesn't go bankrupt or is delisted. If the
price goes too low it could be delisted...

I don't know what kind of morons' there are out there willing to sell
Lyrtech shares for 0.03 cents and less, but smarten up.

I have 1/10th of the number of shares that I did before the
consolidation, and I don't appreciate all yea of little faith dumping
shares for bargan basement prices needlessly.

Has nobody watched or read an investment advice piece lately? Hold for
a long position, and maybe Lyrtech will retain some of their value and
come out of this recession a little bit stronger. Dumping your shares
so you can junp off the same bridge as everyone else is stupid.

Give Lyrtech a chance.

trade halt and resume and today some trades at 0.03 and big volume of 1,600,000

Subject: trade halt and resume and today some trades at 0.03 and big volume of 1,600,000
Trading was halted because they did not filed on time and it resumes
today with big volume and some trade going up to 0.03...

On Yahoo finance we see a more detailed view of what happened:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=LYT.V&t=5d&l=on&z=m&q=l&c=

I wonder if there are some secret news some insiders are trying to
capitalize on or if it is just speculation on the trading halt...

Here is what we can read on Lyrtech website:

2008-06-17
Following up on the news announced June 13, Lyrtech has received
confirmation that trading will resume on Wednesday June 18.

2008-06-13
A cease trading order was issued June 6, 2008, because Lyrtech delayed
filing its results for the first quarter of 2008. The documents were,
however, filed the same day the cease trading order was issued.
Lyrtech has received confirmation that the order will be lifted by the
Autorité des marchés financiers (market authority of the province of
Quebec) and we are currently waiting for TSX to resume trading.

Subject: Re: Lyrtech announces a $1.5M investment agreement
Not quit sure myself, but here's my interpretation of it:

An investment of 3 X 0.5 M will be made.

The first 0.5M investment will be made at the end of May after the
10:1 roll back at a price of $0.15 OR at the last 10 days average
price IF the price is lower than $0.15.

The other 2 X 0.5 M investements will be made at $0.20 and $0.50, but
IF the investor decides to exercise his warrants at a different price
they will be done at the last 10 days average price. A warrant is not
an obligation to invest.

Now the anonymous 9 million shares buyer COULD be Lyrtech themselves !
They bought those shares at $0.01 and $0.015.... So they get 0.5 M for
each tranche that is exercised by the investor and are giving up
shares that they paid much lower than they are worth at the time the
warrants are exercised. And this is how money is made !

Since I have only been in the stock market for about a year, I don't
understand the whole dynamics yet so if someone else that knows more
than I do reads, can you please tell me If I got this right ?

I don't know neither...

It seems the part 1 is just a part of the loss that occured from the
specified operations (continuing operation) and the second sentence is
the complete result. But I dont know what is causing the 10.3M$ part
of the loss if it is not the continuing operations. I guess there was
a 10.3M$ loss from an operation they don't normally do and is not
supposed to occur again in following years.

I don't really understand this part:

The first tranche is exercisable at $0.15 or at the average price of
the
last ten trading days, if lower, upon the conclusion of the roll-back,
expected by the end of May. The last two tranches are under the form
of
warrants exercisable either at the exercise price ($0.20 for the first
tranche
and $0.50 for the second tranche) or at the average price of the last
10 trading days, if lower.

Is it like they are emitting new shares? Or are they selling shares
they had kept for them?

there is two different sentence for the net loss, what is the
difference?

1 - "The consolidated net loss from continuing operations for the year
ended
December 31, 2007, was $3.3 M or $0.014 per basic and diluted share"

2 -"The consolidated net loss and comprehensive loss for the year
ended
December 31, 2007, was $13.6 M or $0.060 per basic and diluted share"
