I am pretty new to investing; being a sophomore in college, i am still
studying investing and such. I'm just looking for any information or
thoughts on Google and what you think about the possibility of
Google's stock splitting.

Google will never split... the management has said it numerous
times... it is a way to keep out the short term traders and encourage
a long-term outlook.

That's not working. Short term traders are playing the options instead
of the common. It's a silly policy.

Google does not the believe in the stock split. They seem to think
that splits would make the stock too liquid and trade-able by rag-tag
retail investors. They would like to be like Berkshire.

The elimination of rag-tags will probably happen if Google reaches
2000 bucks or more, the stock's P/E goes to 15, and the beta drops to
GE levels, but all kinds of rag-tags are trading now.

They have just split the price (but not the shares) 3 to 2, from 750
to 500.

Last 24 hours there were about 3times average volume.
If the stock split there would be multiples of 13 million shares.
No reason to split just to increase number of people invested.

If google splits it makes the stock too liquid  .So the chances for
the company splitting is very less and it has a market cap more than
150 billion and a only a decent growth rate.So i sure they wont.

Berkshire Hathaway never split (or paid dividends) and their stock has
done fine.
