Subject: Why am I losing so much on Google?
So I started investing as a little hobby into 10 stocks of Google in
May of this year. While other stocks have performed well, as we speak Google is at -41%. But unlike other stocks which have often seen terrible press (i.e. banks) Google has only (as far as I can tell) been receiving favorable press and doing pretty much the right things. So what's up? you should probably set 8% as a threshold limit to get out of a stock,
and buy back in when conditions have changed. Google down is a reflection of the general economy being down and less demand for advertising. they will come back, but when is the issue. Now is not the time for any margin positions though. You must Sign in before you can post messages.

Two reasons:
1. The price of a share and the performance of a company are only correlated in the long run. 2. In general, a P/E-Ratio of 25 or more may indicate a bubble or at least that the share is very expensive. Now, P/E is around 22.5, which is still expensive.
