The sun will set on both of them curled together in the fetal position
as the planet freezes over. Personally, I don't think it is a good combo. Google would be making a big mistake to buy Sun. You must Sign in before you can post messages.

I hesitate to comment, but the only interesting thing I have to share
is the interesting relationship both companies have via Stanford... Sergei and Larry are both from Stanford and SUN used to stand for Stanford University Network. You must Sign in before you can post messages.

What do I think about Google and SunW? Two words, Google OS. Don't
think they wont, because they will. ALSO here is a little tidbit of info perhaps you didn't know, or maybe you did. Google was just a young 2 Berkeley student company at one time looking for a startup investor. That investor was Sun Microsystems owner who lent Google $100k. I think that Sun Microsystems is a SOLID company, have stock in it myself, and have never found a problem with any of their Java applications. Furthermore, it's not just me, SUNW currently has a buy on it by S&P and is trending up on an analyst upgrade. As for google, just look at this new finance site, can they really do anything wrong? I think not. You must Sign in before you can post messages.

How exactly is Google OS going to come about though? It'd be a huge
suprise for it to involve Solaris, or Sun's OS, because Google had to heavily customize a version of Linux provided originally by Red Hat. Also, they were Stanford grad students, not Berkeley. You must Sign in before you can post messages.

Google will rule the world one day. I am not kidding. They started as a
search company. Now they are into email, finance, book search, and public storage. Before too long they will have their own OS and TV Station. Eventually, Google will beat Yahoo in it's allinclusiveness as a website. People don't seem to understand that this company isn't afraid to spend a buck on R&D to make a hundred later. They have lots of cash and geniuses working for them. People want to put Google into this little search engine category when it is so much more. I think Google tests it's old highs by the end of the summer and hits 550 by the end of the year. What does everyone else think? You must Sign in before you can post messages.

Google will it 500 by the summer. If Googler Book Search and Google
Video library is expanded and cleaned up a bit, you will see two new strong revenue engines. Look out for Google Health and Google Music, they are coming.... You must Sign in before you can post messages.

I think it's an interesting proposition. Google and Sun seem to have
the same "put the user first" forward thinking and so they're could be some great synergy created by combining the two companies. After all, do we not want to see a company other than Microsoft, offering same or if not better quality products but for free??? By the way can somebody please invite me for an Gmail account??? I live in Canada and the only way to get a Gmail is to be invited by someone. My email is gerynya...@hotmail.com Thanks for the help everyone :) You must Sign in before you can post messages.
