You never know.  You just never know.  By the way the article you read
probably did not give a time for Google stock to hit this particular
price target so if they left it open ended, with the way Google is
briskly growing and expanding everyday, every quarter, every year
relative to the average big cap technology growth stock and the fact
that Eric Schmidt and company have stated that Google has no intention
of splitting their stock price, well you know the article might not
sound too far fetched after all.  One thing I do know is that the
market is unpredictable.  Alan Kay once said, "The best way to predict
the future is to invent it."  Google is doing just that.
