I also have FEED (Agfeed) with PE 2.

So I think even "PE 16" for JRJC is not low at all these

one or more instituional buyers acumulating the stock. they are buying
200,000 to 300,000 shares a day and before this run there were weeks

This stock keeps on rising with huge amounts.
Also the volume is really high lately.

The Reason the PE looks so bad is because it is based on TTM numbers
and JRJC lost $0.43/share in the Fourth quarter of last year. However
once they anounce earnings this quarter (assuming they are ok) they
should have TTM earnings of $0.71 - $0.79 which give a PE of only 16
at the current price not taking into cosnideration that JRJC has a

If there is a buyout it will be at a significant premium over the
current price because shareholders will not vote for it otherwise. To
explain the estimates above you can take this years earnings $55M and
multiply it by 10, a noramly conservative multiple for a company

The large volume over the last two days may indicate some good news we
don't know about yet. If it is a buy out we should see a big price
increase from this level, I would love $40/share but I think most
shareholders would be pretty happy with $25-$30/share.

CHA as a buyer for JRJC ia a very interesting idea. They have already
been working togeher for about a year and CHA has enormous cash
reserves and could purchase JRJC with cash or stock with little impact
to either. But how does CHA integrate the value and potential of JRJC

I apologize for not being more detailed. I was only indicating the
$4.35/share as a value in USD, not RMB and not which currency it was
held in by JRJC, I generally assume for all Chinese comapnies that
prodominantly do business inside China that the bulk of there currency
wwill be held in RMB with the next largest portion of it in USD.

I guess the market thinks that JRJC is only worth the cash they have
in the bank, $4.35/share + an estimated $0.21 for this quarter.

These are odd times we live in, at this price maybe JRJC will buy back
some stock but with the markets reacting the way they are that would
probably send the stock even lower, because they would have less cash.

you're absolutely right.
grosso modo it's the proper way to calculate a P/E.
more precisely the interest paid on the cash should not be included in
the earnings.

i'm not so sure, a take-over is just a possibility, and competition
harms JRJC's earnings.
nevertheless, JRJC grows too fast, has a too low P/E and a lot of cash
( and no debt ) for it's current share-price.
it simply makes little sense, and worse, people seem not to see that
china has the future, and the west has the past.

This good news for JRJC because it will allow one of the big
players ,Bloomberg LP, Thomson Reuters or Dow Jones to come in and buy
it. With JRJC current cheap valuation we should see an offer to buy it

The market is complete crap right now. I can't keep losing. I decided
