Wouldn't it be nice if we trended up right into earnings?
Earnings=16th NASDAQ=18th 21st=Nov.Options due date and maybe some news on what they are planning to do with their cash [production expansion would be my guess] You must Sign in before you can post messages.

Production expansion seems a near certainty given the unexpected
increase in 2009 revenues, the opportunity afforded by the swine flu pandemic which is expected to last about 2 years, and Mr. Weidong's statement earlier this year": "In addition to our organic growth strategy, we have the financial flexibility to selectively pursue acquisition candidates that will help to expand our product pipeline, due to $47 million of cash and cash equivalents on our balance sheet." going to give this thing one more shot and try to hold through all the upcoming events. GL all You must Sign in before you can post messages.

We really don't know when earnings are going to be released.
Ameritrade still lists earnings as being released the week of Nov. 30th. Trading Market's report that earnings will be released on November 18th end with the following disclaimer: "Announcement Status: Unconfirmed." This could be a set up. On Nov 3, 7:06 pm, slopdog <st...@buscherhome.com> wrote:

Let's hope the 18th doesn't bring a "sell on the news" event. The
stock price gets confused when you have an unwarranted sell off and sometimes it takes a month to correct itself. If the stock price reflects it's p/e and stays close to it's other fundamentals I'll stay with the stock, but I'm leaving a little cash on the sideline because I believe this stock still has too many day traders that will jump ship once earnings come out. I'll wait for a 7% pullback and use my cash to buy then. This isn't exactly how I'll play it, but I do believe the stock will jump and then be lower 24 hours after earnings, which is too bad seeing Sinovac is a great company. Breaching is one thing, maintaining the breach is another.
SVA is a longer term play though imo.
Trading pattern over the last few days, does however seem to indicate

Not only is someone building a substantial stake, but I believe that
someone is also exerting a great deal of influence with how SVA trades. I have seen huge orders to buy and sell on Level II quotes, being adjusted upwards as the morning proceeds. The 0 volume in premarket suggests that sentiment is positive, and it's getting harder for The Great Manipulator to accumulate shares at a cheap price. SVA is a strong HOLD at this time. Some day traders are taking a quick profit, but those shares are being
snapped up very quickly. Shorters are in a no-win situation right now - they can't get price lower whilst this stake building is going on. The price may well have some quick sharp drops, but over the next 5-10 days the price seems underpinned by some big buyer(s) of the stock. Alongside the Nasdaq listing in a few days time, the trading/ information seems to indicate something quite big is about to happen. On Nov 4, 3:25 pm, sakalas91 <boris.baku...@gmail.com> wrote:

Earnings up to the 3rd quarter 2009 have already surpassed all of
2008. 4th quarter will be the best yet. On Nov 4, 10:37 am, bluepeter <davidsbluebe...@googlemail.com> wrote:
