Any idea why the big drop today? I thought with the DEIS out and
public commenting period starting that the pps would be going up or at
least be stable.

I shot an email off the Douglas Newby of Polymet and asked simply,
"Any Ideas as to why the stock is going down and how far it is going?"

He Replied, and I think he said it all,
"As I am sure you can appreciate, I neither have any particular
insight into the future stock price nor, under SEC regulations, could
I speculate on the matter.
I think there are three factors:
1) The old adage, buy the rumor and sell the fact - ie many traders
sell on good news.
2) The public comment period is longer than the minimum, although that
should not be a great surprise.
3) Some less informed investors thought publication of the EIS was the
end of the road, not merely a major huge milestone on the way to
completion.
Fundamentally, we believe that the publication of the EIS is a huge
step forward. The risks associated with this project have declined in
the past few days, which should not result in a lower valuation.
I hope this helps"

That says you were short term anyway.  Check in a year from now and
let us know how you're doing.  We'll be going in to production about
that time and probably at $10.00.

I completely agree. I have owned Polymet for about five years now and
remember when it was down to 8 cents. The big return on this stock is
right around the corner. The publishing of the DEIS is a huge step
that we have been waiting for almost three years now. Once the first
permit comes in the stock will begin steadily going up, and then once
production starts it will take off. I believe the stock price has been
beaten down by short term traders that buy it when it is low and then
sell it every time it goes up 20 or 30 cents. This happened big time
once the stock went over $3.00. The big increase in the stock price
will come once all the permits are in and the mutual funds and long
term, more conservative investors begin buying the stock in earnest.
We just need to hang in there!
