Subject: Undervalued by factor 2
Some calculations:

Last 4 Quarters of earnings:
9Q1: 0.05
8Q4: 0.02
8Q3: 0.01
8Q2: 0.09
==> Earnings per share: 0.17

If Fair price with One Net entertaiment in mind is P/E = 15 (Thats
conservative in my wiew)
And if statement from Second Quarter 2009 Outlook:
"TechFaith currently expects revenue to be in the range of US$45
million to US$49 million for the second quarter of 2009, with further
improvement in profit margin as new 3G products are launched into the
market. This forecast reflects TechFaith's current and preliminary
view, which is subject to change" - holds water,

Then Year earnings very resonable could look like:

9Q1: 0.05
9Q2: 0.06
9Q3: 0.07
9Q4: 0.08
==> Earnings per share: 0.26

With P/E = 15 then shareprice should be 15/0.26 = 3.9
Current shareprice: 1.89

Thats way undervalued
And One Net where you can buy extra strengts to your hero (or
whatever) for real money has the potential to take techfaith to
heaven. Self made devices, partly self made games. How cool is that.
(If you own the company in control)

This one rocks

I did some homework on this one.  This stock is incredibly attractive.

+This stock is trading less than cash right now.  $97 million cash,
only 48 million shares afloat.

+it was trading at $18+ just a few years ago, the company is actually
making more money now.  Only in recession we get insane deals like
this.

Cash $97 million
Debt $1.21 million
Outstanding shares 43 million

Operating Revenue
2006 $80.80 million
2007 $143.44 million
2008 $208.85 million

Thanks Animecel

I agree of course. In my initial calculations I havn´t included
anything at all from OneNet division. If they add to TechFaith overall
earnings and EPS for second quarter gets beyond 0.06 USD/Share it´s
even more undervalued. (earnings release 08/18-2009)

But we must not forget that in may 2005 TechFaith was a company with
1300 employees. Today 700.

I have tried to find out how many of those dedicated to OneNet, to
make a more reliable guess on eventually effect on eanings but without
succes. In their latest report
http://ir.techfaithwireless.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=189668&p=irol-newsArt...
they have a number of 400 employess dedicated to TechFaith, but I
guess its a simple mistake. (Then 300 should be in Leo Technology
Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TechFaith containing OneNet
division - But I cannot find out for sure).

But if so its a huge gamble from TechFaith dedicating 300 out of 700
to this side of the business. They starting to add significantly to
earnings stock will surge wildly.
Anyway 2. quarter earnings and especially Defu Dongs outlook will be
extreemly exiting.
