Whether the merger happens or not, FMCN is so cheap and should be
recover due to China recovery (80% higher in Shanghai index). Second,

According to DoNews, Charles Chao told media that the case for SINA/
FMCN merger is not yet booked by the Chinese regulatory agency for
approval. No development so far.

Given Shanghai index went up ~60% for 2009, and China eco is
improvement - FMCN will be profit and SINA/FMCN will happen based the
price in Dec.2008 which was the worst time in the stock market. With
that being said, SINA will gain a lot benefit to merge. I am
projecting FMCN ~ $13-15/share in 3 months

From the looks of things, they are shutting down a few businesses, the
market isn't looking good, and they are reporting both a loss of 4
cents a share (vs. expected 15-30) this quarter in addition to lower
than expected revenue for next (150 vs. 152M). I bought before and

behind originally planned and this should be troublesome to those who

I read about 3 weeks ago that the CEO of SINA said that he would have
all the approvals in place by the end of the month. Well the end of
the month is near. If the deal doesn't go through this stock will
probably go to $4 /share in a hurry. If it goes through it is going
to around $11/share in a hurry. I'm betting that it will go through.

Although I am not crazy about the fundamentals or technicals of this
stock, I am intrigued about its intrinsic value. Sina shares are $10/
share closing this quarter and they will be left with a profitable
business and some descent cash worth another $2/share. 2 +2 does not
equal 4 here. What's wrong with my math?

FMCN announced terrible results - huge loss. Why did the stock go up
almost 15% and still going up? Any positive news? Say I own 100 FMCN
shares - how many SINA shares do I get when the deal closes in a few

The ex-CEO， Tan Zhi, is from FrameMedia. So since he opposed the
