Well, today we are getting fried. Traders love to squeeze delicate
companies when there is a reversal. Nothing substantial happened today
that justifies this big drop. November 9 will be 3Q results. I am
still bullish in PEIX. Good luck to all.

Why? There are several reasons. The first one is that ethanol seems to
be the a very good short-term answer to CO2 emissions. GM, for
instance, is working hard to develop FFV vehicles. By 2012, half GM
production will be FFV vehicles (http://e85vehicles.com/). Second
reason is that ethanol companies had a terrible past year due to the
crisis and the high corn prices. Due to these facts, ethanol equities
went down sharply and now they are cheap. This year corn prices are
going down and with the rising prices of oil, ethanol is now
profitable. This will make ethanol equities to boost. There are other
reason, like new technologies that will allow to extract ethanol from
switchgrass or residue with a very low cost in the elaboration
process.

Why ethanol companies are going down so hard today?

I tend to agree with Joe, and believe that PEIX is going to eventually
above the $1.00 threshold by the end of the year.

He's got this ticker confused with another one.

Record yields in feed stock this autumn are greatly cutting their base
costs and with the rise of oil I think we may be due for a pleasant
surprise.  I'm speculating but the headwinds are clearly much weaker.

I'm holding! Purchased at $18 then twice on the way down.  I bought
for good reasons and bought more at a discount on the way down, and
can't figure why it's so low given the mandated blending levels and
their business model.  I hope they get the non-corn piolet plant add-
on working soon. original plan was startup now 09 Q4?
