  Credit to the gold bulls today. I wouldnt be a buyer of gold today, i &lt;br&gt; agree with the cnbc idiots that its looking a little toppy. Id say to &lt;br&gt; own the GLD makes more sense and should see a slight outperformance &lt;br&gt; vs. miners in the near term, however in the longer term obviously if &lt;br&gt; gold holds its value the miners should outperform the metal.   Mav, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I wouldn&#39;t discount that 980 target, since that is the last low price &lt;br&gt; point before we started the move up to 1100 spx. The market has a way &lt;br&gt; of getting back to the starting point.....now while agree with you &lt;br&gt; that that seems pretty low, it&#39;s not out of the realm of &lt;br&gt; possibilities. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;fwiw

  Gold was at $980.00 per ounce in Jan 2008 AUY was over $16.50 per &lt;br&gt; share...this coming week when AUY likely will report its best quarter &lt;br&gt; ever I suggest with modesty it should go over $18.00 and find a new &lt;br&gt; base above it. Best of luck to you, I just keep buying as she &lt;br&gt; continues to try and rise as gold drops some, but not likely to go
