The reason I asked was the last time we came out with numbers
inflation didn't seem to be of any interest and gold continued to
slide.

I guess it's finally starting to hit them that it's not going away.

You saw the turnaround. $700+ could not hold. Severely oversold.
Buying AUY and SLW below $10.00 was a fantastic move. Should be able
to pickup both below $11.00 which is still a solid play. Silver was
not going to stay below $13.00 either.

Inflation indeed. Government has been trying to deny this for months
now. Maybe they need to go grocery shopping once in awhile.

Been trying to figure that out myself. Thats a sizable 4% jump for no
good reason. CPI didnt trigger it.

The strong time of the year for gold is coming.....many say late
august to early February gold is strong...i realize yamana is a gold
"mining" stock but often trades on the reactions of gold....so hang in
there a turnaround will be coming soon

AUY is not gold...it is gold related though...trading low because
investors are distracted at the moment with other investments like FNM
and FRE.

Traders like to trade the volume and spreads. AUY has not been traded
the same way. Short are shy on AUY. Everyone is thinking gold could be
a good hedge. Unfortunately, OIL is a big distraction.

The dollar and oil driven drop in gold is pretty much played out, The
EU is slowing down and that has been priced in over the last couple
weeks. The next step is for the EU to start lowering rates. That
could help the dollar assuming that the EU declines faster than the US
