Subject: SEC Filings
There have been a number of SEC filings over the past week. Two of
which were today - a 13g filed by Morgan Stanley, and a 13 g/a by SAC
Capital Advisors.

Should filings like these be considered a bullish or a bearish sign?

If for some reason these links don't work, you can find these filings
in the Investor section on APP's website. You can also sign up to have
all SEC filings emailed to you the day they are filed.

Thanks for the links. Do you know why an investor would file 13 G form?

I really don't think it's bullish or bearish, just interesting to see
who
has large positions in the company. I bet MS and SAB will be the
first two companies to start buy analysis after earnings. =)

Not to mention Stephen Cohen's SAC Capital's strong position. It's
always good to see him getting behind a stock.

You are right about Cohen. His big position is why I bought in. We
will have to be patient until earnings. Meanwhile I did not realize
how big the American Apparel wholesale business is.

On Friday's newswire, Cohen reported a 5.5% stake in APP:

February 15, 2008 | 11:54 AM - "Steven Cohen Reports 5.5% Stake In
American Apparel" Dow Jones Newswires

Considering that Cohen is a renowned value investor, and currently
rated as the 47th richest person in America, his position in APP
should make us pretty darn confident.
