Julie.2c, I've read a lot of your posts over time. You make good
points. I do have have to respectfully disagree with you here,
though.
One, these guys are professional spammers. You don't really need to
worry about their accounts getting banned, because they'll just make
another one. So don't feel too sorry for them.
Two, they post the same spam across many boards. I guess you could
give them the benefit of a doubt if they only posted it in maybe the
most relevant board or 2, but that is not what they do. Again, the
idea here is to make money off these boards, which is strictly
prohibited.
Three, I really disagree with your statement that these spam posts are
always related to solar energy. I mean, you have to draw the line
somewhere. Some of them, like the above one, are pretty off topic
from any reasonable discussion about STP. If you want to read this
kind of info, it is more appropriately available in many other
places. Spam like that above makes me feel like I've been tricked
when I click on it and realize that it's just someone trying to make
money off me.
Four, your complaint about what a waste of time it is to read posts
also applies to the much greater time it took you to write a response,
and to the waste of time it was for us to read it.
Again, I respect you, but I disagree.
