Great, nice 1 mate. Thanks also for the heads up on AFR/CFM. I've read
into AFR, very impressive. CFM I have yet to do some research on. I
always like to know what I'm getting :)

Check what happened to DNDN yesterday and the pre trade - wow.  Some
guy on yahoo called the bear raid before it happened.  That guy - we
need him!

Hi aburnett, is that Altima Resources in Alberta?  Are you buying on
the CVE?  I can't see it listed on another exchange.

Hi there,

its listed on the pinksheets as ARSLF. Are you on stockrants.com? I
put my "Reasons to buy altima" on there under stock picks. Its a very
long term play and speculative, however the CEO/Board have done this
sort of thing before - turn penny stocks into big caps that is :)

Hi,

Thanks for the info 'aburnett'.  Are you based UK?

Signed up for StockRants but not sure whether I will make it to the
VIP section!!  Guess if anyone made anything out of FENR or PNA I
might! Vic sent me a link to the test site a couple of days ago in one
of these threads but I can't find it!!  All I can get into now is the
test page that goes nowhere.  I will keep looking for that other link
Vic sent me.

Altima looks like my kind of thing - I've had a lot of Canadian stuff
in the past but not come across these guys.  Thanks for the pointer.

Hi Jon,

Yes I am from the UK, but I'm diversifying as I believe the UK economy
is rubbish. Then again not many others are better ;)

Here's the direct link. You should be able to access it. Its not in
the VIP section.
http://www.stockrants.com/forum/stock-picks/201-altima-resources-arsl...

Of particular interest are the facts about the CEO / Board members.
Enjoy :)

Hi again,

Thanks for the link - what a great post.  Just finished reading what
you put on the ARSLF board. Very interesting & I can see theres even
more on StockRants.  I'm registered now so hopefully won't lose the
link again!

I'm a bit confused at the price differential between OTC:ARSLF (0.094)
and the listing on CVE:ARH (0.11).  If its the same currency, it's a
15% differential.  If not, then it's a lot cheaper bought on the
Canadian Exchange??!  Sorry if it's a dumb question but I'm reasonably
new to this.

Thanks
JonW

Jon, the CVE:ARH quote is in canadian dollars. If its cheaper on one
then buy it on that one :)

BTW I mentioned in that post but I'll say again, this is not a stock I
expect a quick run up with. Im in it for years. I have a small
position but will add on any significant well news.

Always do your own research and be careful out there. A good place to
start is Altima's website where you can view news releases and sedar
filings.

We'll hand the board back to AFREN now - fingers crossed for good news
on the LSE.

Point taken on Altima aburnett & thanks.  I will always do my own DD
but you're right to flag it as there'll always be someone reading that
won't.  I have a few 'unhurried' Mining/Oil & Gas stocks around the
world so will only buy if I have the patience.
