Subject: CROX is a hot stock again
If you haven't noticed this company is back from the dead. They have a
fresh line of credit, new management and the expectation is for the
company to begin being profitable again in 2010 (early 2010 according
to management).  This stock is up 250% from it's low. I have bought
and sold this stock on a regular basis at good profit after getting my
ass handed to me in Nov 2007. I am now starting to build long
positions in CROX.  The old days of this simply being a pump and dump
traders stock may be behind us. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I don't know. I was burned really bad by CROX (bought at 35, 50, held
till 74 and then watched it plummet), and I feel like it's one of the
most manipulated stocks in the market. I was burned pre-earnings last
quarter too, when I bought in at $4, watched it plummet to $3 to which
I sold, and then watched it spike to $6 and $7. It just seems too
risky to seriously invest in again. I'd be horrified to build up a
long term position in CROX. It seems like a ticking time bomb.

Best to go with your gut! If you've got a bad feeling about a stock,
then you've probably got a good reason for it.

What I like about this company is its strong global presence. Weak
dollar will help companies like Crocs.

wow! from a high of 8, it has now tanked to 6.35......will this sink
any further given its earnings release next week?

bailing out?

CROX is off about 15% from it's best pps for '09. Given it's beta and
the 6% correction we just had I'd say it's priced fairly. It will go
up after earnings - I expect it to beat estimates and be guided
conservatively due to the seasonal weakness ahead.

The line of credit they received  in September was huge. So is the
economy. So is the new management.

IMO It doesn't matter what these things look like; (they are the only
shoe I've ever owned that don't make my feet sweat). Idiots like me
who are addicted to these shoes have to keep buying them because they
wear out every year. The fad is gone for these ugly mothers but the
core market remains (nurses, gardeners, salespeople) - let the shorts
whittle the PPS share down a while, it just gives us a chance to lower
our cost per share average.
