I'm not happy about this type of anarchy in what is supposed to be
legitimate business. If it is illegal to naked short then someone
should be accountable. Why is it ok to ignore some laws and not
others? Just another reason why people are pulling their investment
money from these markets.

I keep reading this basher guy on the yahoo board.
for every reply he gets over there he earn another dollar on top of
the 20 per hour or so he get payed by one of the hedge funds.
on top of that, he probably gets another 1 for every cent the PPS fall
that day.

he's the thing:
efficiency is the WROMG way to look at a solar product.

By the way, just out of curiosity, doesn't ENER (Energy Conversion
Devices or ECD) have a flexible solar module targeted for the BIPV
market? They are well ahead of Ascent in production ramp up, though
their market cap is crazy high so it's by no means a suggestion that
they're better as an investment right now. I'm just wondering how are

I hope you are right Avital. I would love to see us turn away from oil
but I am just reflecting on my own sentiment as a common investor.
Solar has been available for many years(along with nuclear), but money
drives all. And the big money lies in oil unfortunately. The threat
of running out of oil is certainly not going to stop the good ole'

by the way, I do not look at solar and oil in terms of "collapse",
"down trend" and/or "solar trend".
if you invest for the LONG run than you would know that ASTI was a
2.5-3 $ per share only 18 months ago -
that would make you a 187% return on your investment.
choose any solar stock, extend the bar to 1.5-2 years and see for

solar IS the future only because of the fact that oil & gas are
depleting from our planet.
I cannot explain in several sentences what I've researched for almost
10 years.
Hedge fund DOES manipulate small companies like Ascent and the
evidance for that is the regular bashers

I could not agree more Yonil. Of course the Hedgies drive down and up
the prices to an extent, but they are based on trends. If the demand
for oil and gasoline is down because of lower production and demand,
then why would Solar energy not too. Solar has booms when investors
