Subject: Talk About DivX
Recently started looking at this company. They have a strong balance
sheet with a little over $4 in cash per share, recently settled a
lawsuit with Yahoo that should put more cash on the books for the 3rd
quarter and appear to have some good licensing wins recently with cell
phone, DVD & Plasma/LCD manufacturers. I'm guessing this could be a
good mobile internet (cell phone) and online streaming movie/content
play, which is where all content is moving these days.

It's been beaten down the past few weeks for what appears to only be
technical reasons only (now the charts say oversold and should rally
back).

Anyone have any insights that I'm not seeing here?

i personally believe that at this moment the only positive sign that i
see a maybe good sign is with windows 7, being the fact that it will
come pre-installed the question is will it future hold it self ? I
dont know about that i honestly dont see this stock moving until
windows 7 comes by there i might think with the help of being pre
install and the economic improving there i feel i could see this stock
hitting maybe 6.50-10.00, unless any big company decide to acquire
divx

I'm wondering what the big picture is for the DIVX product line.  Is
it to license the codec to everyone?  Is it to become a household
name, like Dolby?  Is the plan a broader (ie not just video) digital
media codec?  Is it to amass a library?  I own maybe 8000 shares, all
underwater, bought when DIVX was a darling.  Then the air was let out
of the DIVX balloon.  So, what is there to look forward to here?  What
will drive these shares higher?  Will they ever see their previous
glory?  Was DIVX and pump and dump IPO?  Is there some huge overhang
that keeps the price down.  WHASSUP?

The DivX vulnerability is good going forward because it will convince
people to download the latest versions of DivX.  Nothing but a bump in
the road like the swine flu, which is now reportedly "ebbing" outbreak
in Mexico.  Don't believe everything you hear in the media.

These are very good signs that DIVX will become much larger than it
already is.  DIVX is obviously a good investment... i'm in.

If you haven't tried the Popcorn Hour A-100 then you don't know the
half of it.  The DivX Connected Media Player depends on a optimal
Wireless connection and even then HD may be a problem.  The Popcorn
Hour A-100 works great in spite of it's goofy name.  Plays Divx
Content great. I know because I've got one.
Check it out at:   http://www.popcornhour.com/onlinestore/

Subject: DivX Connected: Revolutionizing Internet Media
Written by Martini Beerman (http://techzulu.com)

Watch the Video here:

http://techzulu.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=236:...

Hallelujah, it has finally happened! For many the idea of fusing the
Internet and TV seems like a pipe dream, yet on Monday, June 30th
2008, I found myself at Cinespace in Hollywood watching history in the
making. The friendly folks over at DivX invited members of the
community to come celebrate the American release of the DivX
Connected, HD Media Player, and no, this is not just any media
player...this baby is going to revolutionize entertainment and
Internet media. The DivX HD Media Player pretty much does everything
short of bringing you your morning coffee! It streams video, photos
and music wirelessly to your TV;  enables you to  play all your videos
from the PC and the Internet and comes complete with several DivX
Connected plug-ins for gaming and infotainment services.

But you don't have to take my word for it because once a demonstration
had been completed, I touched base with several authorities on
entertainment and Internet media like Brad Murphy, VP of Advertising
for Revision3; Alex Albrecht,  Host of Diggnation & the Totally Rad
Show and Zadi Diaz, Host of Epic Fu for some user feedback. I also
caught up with Douglas Sarine and Kent Nichols  Co-Creators of Ask a
Ninja, whose plug-in is actually available on the new DivX HD Player.
And for behind the scenes info and tips on how you can get your own
plug-in up and running with DivX or what went in to making the event a
success I turned to DivX's own Ben Cote, Digital Guru and Tom
Huntington, Director of Corporate Communication. And folks all I can
say is that this new DivX HD Media Player is one hot box!
