Recently started looking at this company. They have a strong balance sheet with a little over $4 in cash per share, recently settled a lawsuit with Yahoo that should put more cash on the books for the 3rd quarter and appear to have some good licensing wins recently with cell phone, DVD & Plasma/LCD manufacturers. | What is the big picture for DIVX?
I'm wondering what the big picture is for the DIVX product line. Is it to license the codec to everyone? Is it to become a household name, like Dolby? Is the plan a broader (ie not just video) digital media codec? Is it to amass a library? I own maybe 8000 shares, all underwater, bought when DIVX was a darling.
