Government Subsities won't be renewed if McCain is elected and Spain
is now limiting the Amount of solar power permissible to 300 MW a
year. SHORT FSLR, no way do those obstacles justify FSLR's current P/E

the spain limit is a set back but i think Germany will still provide
growth and other countries will become more receptive to solar if FSLR
can continue to lower costs

I also thinkt hat McCain may be alot better for solar and alt-energy
than alot of people expect.  sure he wants off-shore drilling and his
focus may be oil but i think that is due to oil being the main day-to-
day energy source for almost all americans (through gasoline).  My
father is a big McCain fan and has been for 20 years so i have heard
about McCain for quite some time, I think he is open to alt-energy,
especially a company from his home state and if energy continues to be
a big issue for the country i see him pulling out all the stops to
make as much energy available as possible regardless of where it comes
from.  if he wins and continues to push for nuclear that will still
take time to get off the ground and i think he would beb recpetive to
exploring other energy sources in the meantime

hahahaha

Obama is the favorite right now, and he appears to be all for alt-
energy which would be good for FSLR

but i wouldn't declare him the winner just yet.  bigger comebacks have
happened with leads bigger than Obama's

Timothy -- bet the farm on FSLR then. This is a $200 stock and the P/E
will fall back in line finally as more competition emerges in this
sector. FSLR does have a backlog bigger than any other solar company,
however, the government subsities have been what has helped this stock
take off... lately, 42% of insiders have sold nearly all their shares
and their is strong resistance at $290. Technically, this stock is
headed below 250.

Disclosure: Long 10 FSLR Sept 250 puts.

i don't like to bet the farm on any one stock.

government subsidies have been lessened but the cot per MW has also go
down...

you are right about the strong resistance at $290, and i agree with
your belief that technically the stock is currently in a down trend
after testing that 290 mark once again.  However, if earnings come in
strong next week the fundamental story should overtake the technical
story, this is not a sure thing at all but i like the industry and i
like the mgmt.  I had trimmed my position in the 280s but I still own
shares.

if FSLR doesnt deliver a strong quarter or strong guidance your 250
Sept puts should be worth alot of money

Your analysis may be accurate, however, the risk associated with
factors outside the company don't merit the risk involved in getting
long the stock.

i agree with you on the risk this stock is not for the faint of
heart.... i also like clusterstock, nice short pieces with accurate
information allwoign you to do your own research.  I have been in the
stock for a while and have a low cost basis.  if they do beat we could
see a huge jump in price which i do not want to miss.  my plan is a
tight stop early next week, currently they are set @ 240 but that
could change depending on what happens leading up to earnings.

"Crazy Mr. Market", I can wait. FSLR is the strongest of all Solar
Companies.
FSLR doesn't have much exposure to Spain: ("http://
www.clusterstock.com/First-Solar-FSLR-stock-financial-analysis.html")
I excpect a very positive Q2.
But today in Germany:
FSLR -5,36%, ESLR -3,65%, SPWR +0,10%, YGE -5,4%, SOLF -2,8%, STP
-5,49%, CSIQ -11,6%, QCELLS -0,47% ...
Who drives this stock down? I think, an occasion to buy now!

Did you see ISRG today??? When the stock reported good earnings, it
rose from 272 to 322 in 5 minutes. The same can happen to FSLR next
Wednesday.
