I strongly disagree that NMX is the growing exchange of the two. I
feel CME is expanding, and in essence growing. Not to mention the low
share count.

The deal went through for $9.3 Billion. With present Market cap of NMX
at $7.59 Billion and stock price of $79.85, the new deal $9.30 Billion
values each stock at $98.11

Can we see the price reflection tomorrow? I guess YES.

Well you need to note that you are still getting CME shares, CME was
trading at $700 when NMX was trading $135, the exchange markets have
corrected close to 50%. For a long term investor the merger will
create a great exchange and probably the only one in the world where
one can trade from CORN to EURO DOLLARS to OIL. That is a huge

The vote is in 6 days and I'm just wondering when the two exchanges
would affectively be acting as one?
If I were a trader, when would trading fees drop for me? The day
after the shareholders approve it?
Just wondering how this will logistically effect business for traders.

The other option is to ask for all stock but based on the amount of
shares they have will determine if that is a possibility. CME gets to
make that decision. They are not diluting their shares therefore it
depends upon the shareholders' requests. Remember NMX is the growing
exchange. CME has become stagnant. Their profits this quarter were

I was just looking into the proposed merger. From what I was told, I
believe NMX holders would receive $36 a share and .1323 shares of
CME. Both options look good to me as cash is king, and the CME is a
great stock. I'd hang on to NMX. The vote on the proposed deal is
set for Aug 18th, with both companies expressing confidence that a

Outstanding crude oil futures contracts fell to the lowest level in 14
months as commercial traders and institutional investors exited the
oil market. As a CME shareholder I want no part of severely
overpaying for a 2 contract exchange whose volume has topped. Please

Equity markets are priced based on discounted future cash flows. The
US is in the biggest oil bubble they have seen in 200 years. NYMEX is
doing between 1.1 and 1.4 million contracts a day because of the boom
in oil prices. If this deal does not go through are you confident that
oil will continue in a bubble for the next 4 years ? Because without
