What exactly did you expect to happen with a world economy such as we
have today?
Right now is the time to invest money on the low cost stocks, and hold
'em for long term.  If you plan to short stocks, expect to lose,
because the market is far too volatile right now.  This is the time to
buy and hold. Eventually markets will rebound, slowly, and money will
be made.

Secondly, don't use a stock picking service. Christ!  Learn about the
stock market, and how it works.  Learn how to read financial
statements.  Learn to understand business concepts, then make your own
judgments on companies.  Sure use stock picking services to give you
an idea of where to look, but NEVER invest just because some website
told you to.  That's bad business, and you'll forever lose in the
stock market if you play that game.
