I e-mailed the company yesterday concerning the release date and got a
response this morning that it's tentatively scheduled for early
September.  There's a lot of confusion about this on various message
boards and with good reason.  This company needs to improve their PR
and Investor Relations departments.  I hope it's not a reflection of
their management style in general!

I just got a response from Mindray this morning  about their earnings
date.  It will be September 3 after close of the U.S. market.  The
conference call is scheduled at 8:00 A.M.September 4.

anybody think this is a buy before earnings?

Well earnings have been on the rise for the last 12 months. Revenues,
Net Profit, Equity and Earnings per share are all destined to rise.
The business is less affected by oil, hurricanes and inflation. I'd
therefore would like to see continued good results AND buy for long
entry.

Absolut stunner, fantastic ER!

Seems like fireworks to me hf. But why has the company maintained it's
yearly outlook even after stunning 99.5% Revenue growth?

My thought is that management will wait for a down day, then they'll
raise their guidance for the next couple quarters to bounce the stock
right back

Mindray doesn't issue quarterly guidence, only yearly, I just learned.
That might mean they don't change yearly guidance once issued;
eventhough it seems obvious now that they will outperform earlier
estimates.

WTF is happening here? Nice ER, it was up almost 17% (44$/share) pre-
market, and is down now??

take it easy, it is how they manipulate stocks. it is not easy being a
speculator. you need a lot of money to reserve in case like that. that
is  people got greedy got punished.

This is just bullshit. Nowadays it´s not enough to do good research on
stocks, you´ve got to check about the manipulation as well... Stocks
are not behaving rationally these days.
I jumped in after the datascope take-over was anounced when everybody
panicked and sold. I´m long anyway, but the movement of this stock is
so not realistic.
