Ideally, I'd like to see it drop to the mid 26s and see a nice bounce
to the upside. At that price, there's very good support, as
established from its ascending triangle pattern. If it hits that
price point, I would have no hesitation initiating a large and long
position.

Also, I would wait for the stock to pull back to 28.50 or 27.00, or
26.00 and see if these supports can hold. If theres a nice bounce to
the upside, I'd take that opportunity to go long.

Techically, this stock isn't looking so good. It had tried on
Thursday to challenge its Aug-Sept resistance but failed, and closed
well below its opening. The doji candle for that day is also a
bearish-engulfing signal. With regards to support, it is now lying

You are already assuming that there are news. This drop might have
many reasons but hardly call a 6-7% drop very steep. With $1 million
it's fairly easy to move this stock and with the huge amount of shorts
it seems some MM is trying to borrow shares. MR has always been very
forthcoming about news and they are certainly not "another chinese

totally agree... It seems that many of the chinese companies have a
bad history of the information being dribbled out and then the
announcement a week later... i quess it all ends up with a sell off in
the end -- so what is the difference between a 5% haircut on day one
or slowly over 5 days ?? nothing... except, the proper way to do this

MR -- plodding along for months and then todays sell off.. i can't
find anything on the blogs/news services... but there is something
going on -- i can promise everyone and its not just because its Friday
and the stock has run up (but it really hasn't)..there is something of

Mindray (MR) has strong fundamentals and increasing revenues. The
momentum is there and is a long play in both the equity issue and
options contracts for July and August. Especially July 2009 Calls for
$25 , as I see this equity going to over $35 in the next three weeks.

Also MedPro came out with earnings today and they basically said
ultrasound market is incredibly strong with many clear signs of
demand. MR flagship products are ultrasounds, so 1+1=2

the minimal sign of rally, short covering goes through the roof and
the stock goes up. Happens all the time with MR specially after
earnings. Tank next day then recovery in the following 2-3 weeks

MR high PE is indicative of the investors confidence in the company.
The examples you just mentioned are miniscule compared with MR and way
way way more riskier. If that's ur cup of tea, fine, but comparing a
company with 100x size difference just doesn't make any sense at all.

EVK is at a major listing (AMEX) and IFSG moves in NASDAQ in 2009
through a RS to meet the remaining requirement, the price requirement.
i did not mean to ad my stocks but i was wondering why MR has such
high PE. This is sth that you did not answer though.

I am focused on the chinese stocks with one digit pe and growth
like EVK and IFSG which moves to a major listing in 2009 so i

from what I see, Mindray had a very bad Q3, because Total Revenue
includes Datascope's monitor incoming. You can calculate the DS's
performance change with Mindray's Q3 report in 2008. if my calculation
is correct, it means Mindray's incoming dropped dramatically.

bought it after a great review from morningstar.com, the one year
price targe on yahoo finance and a few other positive reviews. This

normal business decision to switch accounting firms. As we discussed
in the China Strategy dispatch at that time, Mindray switched from
Deloitte to PricewaterhouseCoopers. Many investors sold the stock on
the news, but this decision didn't reflect any major accounting

This stock is dangerous at all, look at the PE of MR and compare it
with those of others.
It has just been neglected ever before, or was just because the
shareholders of MR are ignoring the crisis all over the world now.

But when the finally realise, the price of MR could be as low as 8.0,
