you would understand that they are signing supply agreements which are not at the spot price... the spot is what it is right now to buy it.. it does not mean trina solar is buying at that price.. they have been signing supply contracts which are extremely liekly to be more reasonable... aside from that it is obvious that the cost (1 billion dollars) to build a plant does not outweigh the benefit they would get from producing silicon themselves.. read the article below.. especially the end.. the polysilicon supply issue will no longer be one in 2 years time.. which means prices will come down if not sooner.. which means future contracts signed by trina solar are only more beneficial http://www.forbes.com/markets/2008/04/02/solar-energy-conference-mark...
