Zhongpin is fundamentally still an excellent company - but the price
is about to take an emotionally based dip. I bet it drops to $5.00 or
lower by mid May! It'll start creeping back up in June once the swine
flu is found only to severely affect people living in poor conditions.

I know this is a stupid market right now but I would think that
because other companies are losing money left and right people would
seek stability in a company like this one which is making tons of
money. People in China love pork and they are only going to eating
more of it. Am I missing something here?

Just checked my Schwab account and see that the ZHNP symbol is now
trading as HOGS, but there is no record of the name change. If you
trade ETF Lean Hogs (also using symbol HOGS) it will be very confusing.

Now that's rapid expansion !!
A quick look puts their non-GAAP EPS for 2007 near $1 USD and I'll
just guess that 2008 EPS could increase in-line with their sales to
near $2 per share.
At a PE of 20, this is a $40 stock by mid next year.
