There must be some news that is going to break. This move in the
sector makes little sense.
My guess is oil is on its way back up, US is going to actually give a
useful energy policy which would cause the world to follow?
I don't know but this large move is interesting.

cosmoj, you might want to pay closer attention to the financial
statements, these 2000m are in CNY not USD

YGE needs some PR guidance. Great company but not very good at
addressing the market in general and selling the upside of this
company. They should take some notes from CSIQ and STP.....this stock
would be in the mid-20's if they set things up properly.

When does technology directly have any impact on stock, never -
guidance was yge's problem recently.

Request for some insight:

YGE's earnings were positive this quarter and judging from the
financial spreadsheet, revenue and profit are growing by a factor of 2
every year. Sure, this is not as impressive as a 3x or 4x growth as
evidenced by companies like LDK and STP. Nonetheless, YGE is doing

It's called backing up the hype with good earnings. STP knocked it
out of the park this morning, and raised guidance for the rest of the
year and next year, and said they've locked in so many new contracts
that there's way more demand than even they can supply. They've been
strategically making moves during this bear market to lock up

That's interesting to see. ~8% up in 1 day. I am NOT expecting much
of a move from this slacker.

Anybody saw the volume today. It's just 1 hour passed and already
filled up half the daily average volume. Any ideas whatz happening?

As per bloomberg news: China Shanghai index rose by 7.85% today.As of
now, i checked it is 7.63% up.
Meaning overall Chinese stocks will go up as Chinese govt is doing
necessary actions abt fallen stocks.
It is likely that all Chinese stocks will go up in US incl YGE or any
other CHinese solar stock.

Up or down tomorrow?

I say up which is going against the trend of another solar company's
earnings being out and YGE going down.
I think we might see it touch over 15 again, although would be happy
with another 1% back up. Volume was heavy once the price hit 14.50
near the end of the day - I think shorts covered as they couldn't get

Actually I would short STP right now as well. Their earnings comes
out tomorrow. They already saw a spike up and the trend for most Solar
companies is down after a good earnings.
