| SEC Chairman says will extend "Naked" Short selling protection across market, potentially reinstate 'uptick' rule | ||
| All 7 messages in discussion | ||
According to shortsqueeze.com LDK short interest is 15.3 million
approximately half of the float. Do you think that this could have the same effect on LDK as on the financials? Could be the trigger we are looking for. http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/djf500/200807241145DOWJO... |

For comparison FNM had 15% short interest of float and it's share
price has increased 20% since the short protection was implemented by the SEC. This is a VAST over simplification of all the things involved, and FNM and LDK are extremely different (thank goodness), but if the SEC chairman says that this is what they intend, I would say thats good news for LDK longs. |

the size of the float will tell the difference... FNM and the
financials have so many shares outstanding, and daytraders rotating in and out, funds getting some money back... (see BAC).. LDK float is tiny, especially with Peng owning 70% of the shares... this could be huge for LDK. I swear to God I was going to log on right now and post an obvious "fantasy scenario" in which the SEC announced no more naked shorts marketwide... in addition to Pichel being named as under investigation for manipulation/illegal tactics/insider selling... and LDK announcing that the first plant was operational... and what do i see? 1 out of 3! |

This is great news! It pays to write to Obama. Energy creating and
saving devices stock should never be shorted when we are in an energy crisis. Write to him now at http://my.barackobama.com/page/s/contact2 |
