Xoo, LDK has taken a <15% dive from its high last week. That is a
pretty good drop. It is true that we never know what may happen later,
and it could fall farther, but with earnings coming out in a few weeks
I think it is more reasonable to believe that solar will soon be back
into rotation, and we will start that steady climb back up to 40.
Shorts will start to cover soon and if things go well for many of the
big boy solars we should have a nice run. What is it that you believe
will continue to drive the pps down?

Right now I think the MM's are driving the price down just to get back
in right before ER comes out. They will probably be getting back in in
about 2 weeks.
And yes I know oil can be one factor, I was hoping for other ideas.

Put your hopes in one hand and ktmh rancid post in another and guess
which one fills up first?

I agree with XOO, time to write some LDK swamp calls for the hopefuls.

I'm investing in LDK by shorting the stock viva options, especially
now with oil headed lower.

any reason besides that its oversold and at a bargain price?

Given the declining market what could cause a rise?

On 7/21 put/call ratio reached 4.66 w/ over 3mil$vol on put side, that
tells me it is way overdone and should start reversal ("when" is a Q
of course:) but i see excellent risk/reward here.... imo tsl was
shorted to hell by a hedge to balance out offering to delta neutral
thus a dump couple of days ago and going into er i would start
accumulating here but of course i am the option junky so i am looking
for appropriate play on call side.

btw, on ldk and mid 20s while of course possible but since we have not
seen 27.5 yet I am not convinced we will get there thus I sold my puts
as mr glove maker w/ his offering effectively established a floor
around 31.8, imo of course

any thought on solr?
and i soooooo called it on wb:) *pats himself on the back* .... this
market is the best:)

Based on eslr's er & refied note's I'd guess we're looking at a 30/60
day window to hit calls out of the park.  Everyone who understood the
conference knows that eslr goes from loss to gains on their next
report.  The $10 look good.

but then again with GT Solar SOLR down 10% on its IPO now may not be
the time to put more money into solar market

ranting now...
massive overseas and hedge fund money in huge naked shorts across the
entire market...
take that, US gov't... you can't protect everyone so we will hit you
even in your good stocks... (agro, steel, coal, etc.)
All your fund mgrs are seeing red and they will resort to shorting as
well, thus taking down your entire market.
All your daytraders will jump on too, adding more downside... See? If
oil goes down, terrorists need to punish the US market in some other
way...
And the US hedge funds and daytraders are unwitting allies. Hi P/Es
are toast....
How the hell does AMZN stay up there? BIDU and ISRG are just fear of
the squeeze, but AMZN?
and LDK? it's only defense is 28th earnings... it better be awesome,
or goodbye cruel world.

Being long in LDK, I don't like to say it, but in thinking about its
history and oil's likely decline, LDK will probably get a fair amount
worse before it gets better. I could see it hitting mid to high 20s
and then taking off....pretty typical of this stock. Estimated good
buy at 28.xx or lower

I like the tremendous strength in LDK today compared to the market and
sector... didnt break 31.8... hopefully we see a rally tomorrow, or at
least a flat line until earnings...

that is a smart thing to do right now.... i got i bit to cocky after a
good run so didn't want to wait when should...
>tsl

to me that was no brainer today before close but i hate that
feeling.... you know.... when you forcing yourself to buy... i wonder
if i will be puking next week or walking around saying “heeeyyyy, how
you doin’? ”…..
