Subject: What's wrong with DFS
Guys,
What's wrong with DFS? It seems to me the company is heading south! It
goes up 5 cents one day and goes down 50 cent the other day! It looks
scary, anyone out there thinking that DFS is going to hit $5.5 to $6
in 1 - 2 month.
Lately, I heard some rumors of it maybe sold, or there is a take over
in the near future, is that true?

It could hit 5 or 6 in reaction to the governments new regs on the CC
industry. I personally think it will have less of an impact on DFS
then say AMEX unlike a recent posted article says but the market could
react that way.

I do not believe DFS is going to be bought out. That has been a rumor
ever since DFS spun off of MS.

I agree with Kyle, I don't think they will be bought.  There are
rumors abound of all companies which have taken a fall being bought.

DFS rating may be downgraded along with several other CC companies
depending on the rating agencies analysis of the impact of the govnmt
regs impact and continuing effect of the economy on CC delinquencies
and charge offs.  Funny how rating agencies were asleep during the
boom, and are now downgrading companies left and right adding to their
difficulty of raising more capital to get back to profitibility...
